Dr. Azmy Allam, a graduate of the Cairo Medical School in Cairo, Egypt, has been practicing medicine in the United States since 1984.  Dr. Allam completed his residency at the Downstate Medical Center in New York from 1984 through 1986.  Dr. Allam completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at the Downstate Medical Center from 1987 to 1989. He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and hospital medicine.  Dr. Allam moved to Owosso, Michigan in 1989.

Dr. Allam, who was in the top 5% of his medical school class, has served in several different leadership capacities at Memorial Healthcare in Owosso, including Chairman of the Department of Medicine, Chairman of the Critical Care Committee, Director of the Critical Care Unit, member of the Executive Committee, Respiratory Department Director, Sleep Disorder Director, and Director of In-Patient Management Services.

In 2006, Dr. Allam moved Owosso Medical Group from the Memorial Healthcare facility to a new campus at 200 Health Park Drive.

In his spare time, Dr. Allam enjoys playing soccer, riding bicycles, and spending time with his family.
